Dan also arrived today. It is wonderful having more family in town to enjoy Mom. Dan's family is in Las Vegas. Shanda is expecting their first little boy after having two

Other great things from today

• Mom's Visiting Teacher stopped by to say hello and deliver ice cream--ice cream is appropriate for every occasion-don't you think? I had been ironing Dad's clothes and stepped away for a minute and when I returned she was busy ironing. She was a PRO! Thank you for your sweet act of service. It may not have seemed like a big deal-but it was. I HATE IRONING! And the ice cream...went great with the birthday cake. Thanks!
• Mom had a FABULOUS day around the house. She was moving and walking better than we had seen in 2 days. I asked her if she felt better or felt more adrenalin because she knew people were coming and she told me that she had decided to stop feeling sorry for herself and to just try as hard as she could to keep doing the things she could for as long as she could. Now if only we could clue in her left arm and leg to do this as well...
• Mom also spent a few minutes at the beach again today-she is hoping for more beach time tomorrow. She also pruned a few plants and groomed her garden in the back.
• ALL of the kids (Scott, Pete, Jeff, Kari, Dan, Greg, and Brett) and Grandma have SOLID plans to come see Mom during the next week. After days of schedules and lists and plans that changed by the hour--we got it all figured out YEAH!!
